The Diplomatic Conference that was held in Geneva from May 11 to 21, 2015, adopted the Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement on Appellations of Origin and Geographical Indications.
The Diplomatic Conference was convened with the aim of adopting a new Act of the Lisbon Agreement for the Protection of Appellations of Origin and their International Registration, that would render the Lisbon System more attractive for states and users, while preserving its principles and objectives.
