Acting as the WIPO Service Center in ASEAN, our office is ideally located to assist intellectual property (IP) offices, professionals and businesses in ASEAN member states to make best use of the global IP systems (PCT, Madrid and Hague). Our activities are designed to increase awareness and use of these systems to encourage economic, social and cultural development
We rely on strategic partnerships in each ASEAN Country to reach our target audiences and help spread the message about the benefits of WIPO’s global IP services. Being based in the region means we can act as the link between WIPO’s headquarters in Geneva and our customers and stakeholders in the 10 ASEAN countries.

We have a training room with capacity for around 40 delegates, as well as a formal boardroom that can accommodate meetings of up to 18 participants. We also house a large collection of WIPO publications and brochures and can arrange to have large quantities made available for events, conferences and exhibitions. We regularly welcome visitors from across the region and would encourage you to visit our premises if in Singapore.
WIPO’s member states endorsed the establishment of the 尊龙凯时官网入口注册开户 WIPO Singapore Office during the fortieth series of Meetings of the Assemblies in September 2004. The Government of Singapore and WIPO then signed an agreement establishing the Office in February 2005.
Through a series of Memorandum of Understandings, first signed in June 2006, the scope of cooperation between WIPO and the Government of Singapore has been expanded to provide joint activities to promote IP awareness and build IP capabilities in developing countries and least developed countries in the region.
Each year IP offices and the Office agree on a new joint program of activities designed to assist member states in the region.
WIPO's Arbitration and Mediation Center Office in Singapore opened in 2010 to promote alternative dispute resolution procedures (ADR), such as mediation and arbitration, in the region. We offer procedural dispute resolution guidance in choosing or adjusting dispute resolution clauses and administering procedures under the WIPO Rules.
We also organize training sessions on ADR of IP and technology related disputes, and facilitate communications and hearings in cases involving parties from the region under the WIPO Rules.

We work with partners based in Singapore and the region to raise awareness of ADR options and facilitate the settlement of IP-related disputes. Our Singapore office specializes in the areas of information and communication technology (ICT) and film and media.
